Fugly, Fattening, Flattening Flats

I do so hate flats
That's the truth, I'm afraid
I hate how they look
And I hate how they're made

I hate that in flats
I feel chubby and round
I look a good 10 pounds more
And I'm so close to the ground!

But the boots looked too wintery
After all, it is May
Yet it's too cold for sandals
Barely 60 today

So for lack of a better
in between kind of shoe
I'm stuck with the flats
And being a shrimpy five-two
